September 18 - Alexander Global Logistics (AGL) has coordinated the transport of project cargo from Germany and Italy to Kirov, Russia for a stand cold rolling tandem mill.

The consignment included almost 100 standard truck loads, as well as two out-of-gauge (OOG) units, each of which weighed 39 tonnes and measured 6.6 m x 2.5 m x 3.9 m.

AGL's director of projects, Jürgen Weyhausen, explained that although the transport was under extreme time pressure, the cargo was delivered on time at the destination after travelling over 3,650 km by road.

For the same project, AGL handled the shipment of one 40 ft flatrack and three 40 ft standard containers from India with the help of partner Express Global Logistics (EXG); as well as the transport of one 40 ft flatrack and eight 40 ft standard containers from Thailand to Russia, calling on the assistance of CEA Project Logistics.

AGL, EXG and CEA Projects are all members of the Project Cargo Network (PCN).
