April 4 - The port of Antwerp has signed a collaboration agreement with Brazilian state Sao Paulo with the goal of strengthening trade relations between the two.

The state of Sao Paulo is home to Santos, the largest port in Latin America, along with Sao Sebastiao - a port with ambitious expansion plans. Brazil is  already one of the world's fastest-growing economies and is expected to become an increasingly significant player in years to come.
Luc Arnouts, coo of Antwerp Port Authority and Saulo de Castro Abreu Filho, secretary of state for transport and logistics of Sao Paulo, signed the agreement that runs until the end of 2016.
