December 10 - Caba Transport has handled the movement of several trams from China to Samsun in Turkey, making use of an eight-axle Scheuerle-Nicolas Superflex trailer.
Due to some problems using sea transport, the first vehicles arrived in Samsun on board an AN-225 freighter, with the subsequent trams being delivered by ship.
Movement of the 35-tonne trams from the port and airport to the tram depot was carried out using the Scheuerle-Nicolas Superflex.
The Scheuerle-Nicolas model is not only ideally suited to the transport of rail vehicles, but can also accommodate various other loads, meaning that expensive downtimes can be avoided or minimised, said the TII Group.
