Cosco wins Vito FPU contract

Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers has been awarded a transportation contract by Shell for the Vito floating production unit (FPU).

The integrated Vito FPU will be fabricated in Singapore and then transported to the Gulf of Mexico aboard the shipping company’s semi-submersible ship, Xin Guang Hua (as shown in the artists impression).

The Vito contract is the third project to be awarded to the shipping company since the establishment of an enterprise frame agreement between it and Shell in 2014.

“Our team looks forward to working together to ensure the safe delivery of Vito to the Gulf of Mexico.” says Josh Wilson, vp business development - Cosco Shipping Heavy Transport, which is responsible for the marketing, project management, and engineering for Cosco Shipping Specialized Carriers’ fleet of semi-submersible vessels.
