September 10 - Brazilian project cargo forwarder DC Logistics Brasil has successfully supervised the shipment of a 122 tonne consignment from Italy to Brazil and an export shipment from Brazil to Germany.

The consignment from Venice, Italy to the Brazilian port of Itajaí took 60 days and then two hours by road from the port to an inland destination in the city of Brusque.

The shipment, a production machine acquired for an auto parts factory, left the port terminal Interporti, in Itajaí, on a truck with 14 axle lines.

Last month, the company undertook an export project cargo movement of a 240-tonne consignment for client WEGthrough the port of Itajaí bound for Germany.

Both moves come little over a year after the company formed a specialist project cargo department. Among the cargoes handled by the project cargo section are heavy machines, presses, large tubes, oversized machines and rolling machinery.
