Delta ships vehicle quartet

July 6 - Delta Maritime has transported two Tatra pipe trucks and two Liebherr excavators from Wels, Austria to Alexandroupolis in Greece for the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project.

The two Tatra trucks weighed 16.5 tonnes each with the dimensions 10.3 m x 2.85 m x 2.43 m, while the Liebherr 944 excavators weighed in at 36.5 tonne each and measured 11.9 m x 3.5 m x 3.2 m.

The vehicles were loaded onto trailers owned by heavy haulier Holleman for transport to Greece. The associated parts were transported on standard trucks.

Delta organised the overland transport, which took six days, and discharge operations on arrival in Greece.

Delta Maritime is a member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in Greece.
