March 26 - Embalajes Cantabria, the Sagunto (Valencia)-based specialist cargo handling and packing company, used Cordstrap lashings to secure a complex load in the Noatum multipurpose terminal at the port of Sagunto (Valencia), Spain.

The cargo, pictured below, weighed more than 63 tons (57.1 tonnes) and was loaded on a Mafi trailer using polyesterCordstrap lashings with 10 tonnes of resistance, tensioned by pneumatic machinery and lashing systems certified byGermanischer Lloyd.

Embalajes Cantabria, which reports it is the official installer and distributor of Cordstrap lashing products at the ports of Valencia, Castellón and Sagunto, said: "the work was done with guarantees over installation, cost of materials and the possibility that the lashings are in direct contact with the goods."

The company says that it manufactures industrial wood packing and other materials for all kind of products, both large and small and has been operational since 1989.
