Jade Cargo to auction three

September 18 - Reports in the international aviation media suggest that Jade Cargo International will auction three Boeing 747-400 freighters in Shenzhen, China on October 26.

Jade Cargo will reportedly start the bidding at CNY1.32 billion (USD207 million) for each of the three freighters, including their collective 11 engines.

The auction will take place at Action Hall of Shenzhen Auction, on the 7th floor of Yinli Building, No. 1, Road Hongli, Futian District, Shenzhen.

Jade Cargo, which was established in 2004 as a joint venture between Shenzhen Airlines, Lufthansa and DEG, officially announced the closure of the company and began liquidation proceedings in 2012, having faced a number of financial difficulties since its foundation.
