KOG eyes steel and power sectors with India opening

November 11 - Project freight forwarder KOG Worldwide AG has established a new operation in Mumbai, India.

Previously a minority partner in another Indian company, KOG decided to set up a new entity, KOG Transport Pvt. Ltd., to target the steel and power industries and take greater control over its door-to-door shipments.

"This is a complete, fully fledged forwarding operation for domestic, air as well as ocean transportation," explained KOG founder Juergen Osmers.

"We are confident this new set-up will give our offices an even greater possibility to service clients with their shipments to and from India, which is an important manufacturing base."

KOG Transport Pvt. Ltd is headed by Capt Rajesh Vazhappillil.
