Nordana enhances Libyan service

January 13 - Nordana has expanded its oceanfreight service to Libya with the addition of calls to the port of Misurata.

Nordana has been operating regular ro-ro and breakbulk services from the USA into North Africa for more than 50 years. When trade relations reopened between the USA and Libya in 2004 after a lapse of almost 20 years, Nordana returned with a regular, direct service.

Misurata will be called on all sailings to Libya with a frequency of 17 to 18 days with the first outbound sailing by Silkeborg scheduled to load in Houston on Januray 31st, Jacksonville on February 5th and Baltimore on February 8th. The ship is scheduled to arrive at Misurata on February 26th.

Nordana also serves the Libyan ports of Benghazi, Marsa El Brega and Tripoli.

Nordana operates two liner services encompassing four main tradelanes handles breakbulk and project cargoes. The ro-ro service operates in the trade between the Mediterranean and the Americas, while the conventional service operates in the trade between the Americas and West Africa.
