June 12 - The Port Equipment Manufacturers Association (PEMA) and the Federation of European Private Port Operators Association (FEPORT) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a framework of cooperation.

The MoU will see both organisations work together on agreed actions and initiatives to enhance their respective impacts on issues where both groups have a common interest.

"Our mission is to provide a forum and public voice for the global port equipment and technology sectors, reflecting their critical role in enabling safe, secure, sustainable and productive ports and thereby supporting world maritime trade," said Ottonel Popesco, president of the board of PEMA and ceo of Cavotec.
