November 5 - Ho Chi Minh City-based Vantage Logistics Corp (VLC) has delivered a prilling tower from the port of Hai Phong in northern Vietnam to a temporary jetty on the Tra Ly river.

The prilling tower was transported in three parts: the bottom section weighed 64 tonnes, with the dimensions 8.8 m x 8.8 m x 7.2 m; the middle section weighed 95 tonnes, with the dimensions 35 m x 7.2 m x 7.2 m; and the top section weighed 52 tonnes, with the dimensions 17.2 m x 10.5 m x 4.25 m.

VLC handled the customs formalities and hook-to-barge transport at the port of Hai Phong, followed by river shipment to a temporary jetty and the roll-off and final delivery to the jobsite.

Vantage Logistics Corp
is a member of the Project Professionals Group (PPG).

Bridge height clearances and low tide ranges proved particularly challenging during the project but constant ballasting made the journey navigable, said general manager of the Project Professionals Group (PPG), Kevin Stephens.
