Volcanic move for ILS

December 28 - ILS Chile has delivered a consignment of project cargo to the Cerro Pabellón geothermal plant, which is located at an altitude of 5,000 m in one of the South American country's volcanic areas.

The consignment of equipment included transformers, as well as pipes and accessories for the plant.

ILS Chile coordinated the transport of 120 containers from the ports of Iquique and Antofagasta to the volcanic site in a total of 200 truckloads.

The cargo was delivered across the Atacama Desert, which was subject to temperatures as low as -15°C and as high as 39°C, alongside winds of up to 80 km/hr.

ILS Chile is a network partner of United Ocean Lines.
