Volga-Dnepr flies SPMTs

December 10 - Volga-Dnepr has delivered two large self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs), with a total weight of 51 tonnes, from Austria to Khabarovsk, Russia, on behalf of the Russian company SWTrans.

The SPMTs, each of which had the dimensions 8.7 m x 2.4 m x 1.5 m, were transported on one of Volga-Dnepr's IL-76TD-90VD freighters, and a control station, which weighed five tonnes, was delivered on board AirBridgeCargo Airlines' Boeing 747.
 
Volga-Dnepr's Engineering and Logistics Centre (ELC) also provided additional services including crane hire, terminal and apron freight handling.
