July 1 - Volga-Dnepr Airlines has signed a contract extension with French logistics firm SDV and Thales Alenia Space to transport its aerospace equipment until 2016.

The deal was agreed at the 50th Le Bourget Paris Air Show, which took place June 17-23, 2013.
 
Under the agreement, Volga-Dnepr Airlines will perform a number of AN-124 and IL-76-90VD cargo flights for Thales Alenia Space - a manufacturer of satellite systems. SDV remains responsible for pre and post-flight logistics, including Customs clearance, documentation and insurance.
 
"The agreement is signed for a period up to 2016. We have a long history of cooperation with SDV and Thales Alenia Space and we are proud to be extending our partnership with two of the leaders in their respective fields of expertise," commented Dennis Gliznoutsa, vp development, Volga-Dnepr Airlines.
