June 2 - Egyptian Global Logistics (EGL), a subsidiary of Kadmar Group and XLProjects (XLP) member in Egypt, has discharged five Bosch boiler units, each weighing 81 tons (73.5 tonnes) at the Port of Alexandria, Egypt on behalf of Kuehne + Nagel.

The units, which measured 10.95 m x 4.69 m x 5.05 m, were loaded on board Mestex Shipping's Lady Debora at the Port of Antwerp, Belgium and were discharged in Egypt utilising a 250-ton (226.8-tonne) capacity mobile harbour crane.

EGL subsequently transported the boiler units 400 km to the factory in Ain Sokhna using eight-axle modular trailers.

Westdijk Sweden has handled the transportation of a 38 m long cistern, which measured 8 m in diameter, from the production area to a refinery in Stenungsund, Sweden.

Meanwhile, XLP member in Pakistan, Freight Connection Pakistan has transported a 120-ton (108.9-tonne) crane and a 50-ton (45.3-tonne) mobile crane from Sahiwaal, Pakistan to Shanghai, China.

Freight Connection was responsible for the oceanfreight, a cargo survey, loading the crane parts onto trailers, and the transport from the job site to the Karachi warehouse in Pakistan, as well as the Customs clearance.

FLS Projects Vietnam has completed the loading operations of a 122-tonne crew boat from Vung Tau, Vietnam to Egypt.

FLS was responsible for the vessel chartering, pre-inspection of the boat, Customs clearance, loading, as well as the positioning and adjustments to the cradles.
