June 3 - Cambridge-based engineering industry software provider Aveva Group has acquired Logimatic's MARS business from Logimatic Holdings.
The MARS products and services will be merged into Aveva's Enterprise Solutions Group and aligned with its flagship Aveva net solution and create a "world-class engineering and information management offering for the marine and plant industries," says a company statement.
The solution will assist with integrated materials and project management as well as operational planning for design, production and construction.
Meanwhile, Aveva also has acquired all assets of the oil and gas business of Stavanger-based ADB Systemer. This strategic acquisition will expand the Aveva net enterprise solution while bringing operations integrity management to owner-operators in the oil and gas industry.
Listed on the London Stock Exchange, Aveva Group is one of the world's foremost providers of engineering design and information management solutions to the oil and gas, pulp and paper, power, chemical, pharmaceutical and shipbuilding industries.
