Kouno Truck Corporation is now part of the Denzai Group, strengthening its capabilities in heavy transportation and logistics. The former was established in 1954, is headquartered in Himeji City, Hyogo Prefecture, and is a specialist in ultra-heavy and specialised cargo.

In addition to providing heavy transportation services for Hyogo Prefecture’s shipbuilding industry, Kouno Truck is now preparing to expand its operations as a result of the collaboration with Denzai to new fields, including onshore wind power and offshore wind port handling.

“Through the capital alliance with Kouno Truck… the Denzai Group’s heavy transport capacity in the western Japan region will be dramatically enhanced,” said Kohki Uemura, president and ceo of Denzai. ”In the construction of onshore and offshore wind projects already awarded to the Denzai Group, we also intend to leverage the company’s experienced personnel and extensive equipment lineup to generate mutual synergies.”

Osamu Kouno, president and ceo of Kouno Truck Corporation, added: ”Through this capital alliance with the Denzai Group, we are confident that leveraging the group’s network, equipment resources, and technical expertise will enable us to deliver services of even higher quality and greater scale. In particular, we anticipate strong synergies in strengthening the Group’s overall capabilities for ultra-heavy transport and optimising wide-area transport through closer collaboration among group companies.”

Last month, Denzai expanded its international operations with the establishment of an Indonesian subsidiary. This followed the execution of its first project in Africa and the formation of a strategic partnership with Italy’s Fagioli.
