FPS expands network in Qatar

May 9 - The Famous Pacific Shipping (FPS) network agent for Dubai, Jebel Ali and Abu Dhabi - Reliance Freight Systems - has opened a new office in Doha, Qatar.

Reliance Doha will provide the company's full range of multimodal forwarding services, including import and breakdown of LCL consolidations, as well as offering Customs clearance and road freight services throughout Qatar and its neighbouring countries.

"Qatar is emerging as one of the most dynamic economies in the Middle East, and has the highest per capita income in the world," said Sanjay Berry, Reliance's managing director. "The Qatari economy is rapidly expanding in almost every sector, driven by government investment and the participation of multi-national companies."

Founded in 1998, FPS's members provide a comprehensive range of multimodal freight services including ocean consolidation, NVOCC services, airfreight forwarding, warehousing, logistics, surface transportation and project forwarding.
