French lifting and material handling specialist Mediaco has acquired SPMTs from Cometto.

Mediaco, which rents and sells its mobile cranes, truck cranes, aerial work platforms and arm trucks, has acquired 20 axles lines of SPMTs from the heavy-duty trailer manufacturer. It opted for two four-axle units and two six-axle units with a pair of 202 kW power pack units.

The company has been expanding its capabilities in the past 12 months, notably having acquired Switzerland’s Matthey-Petit – an exceptional transport and lifting company. Matthey-Petit has 110 machines, including cranes ranging from 40-500 tonnes lifting capacity, at branches in Geneva and Lausanne. In addition, it has 23 prime movers and 52 heavy trailers for exceptional transport.
