Project freight forwarder DAKO Worldwide Transport has coordinated the delivery of 33 wind turbine blades from Tianjin, China, to Agigea, Romania.
Each wind turbine blade measured 77.44 m x 4.2 m x 3.4 m and weighed 27,511 kg (27.51 tonnes), with the total shipment weighing in at 907.83 tonnes. Following precise lashing and load balancing, the blades were stacked four tiers high on the vessel.
DAKO navigated logistical obstacles including port bottlenecks and international Customs procedures to facilitate the transport.
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported that DAKO had delivered 24 wind turbine blades from China to Germany.
