December 3 - Brazil's state-controlled Petroleo Brasileiro (Petrobras) has cancelled an order for five new drill ships capable of working in depths of up to 3,000 m of water.

The company stated that it would need to drill fewer wells in the Santos Basin than had been anticipated, due to greater productivity levels and other efficiencies from the project wells already operational in the area.
