May 1 - After 14 months of planning and engineering, Vanguard has lifted and positioned a 1,197-tonne conveyor section in Solwezi, Zambia.
The section was lifted 40 m from the ground into its final position using four 400-tonne strand jacks in a synchronised lift.
A second section, weighing 1,275 tonnes, is to be lifted and positioned next week, said Vanguard.
