Columbia and Marlow explore merger

November 8 - Columbia Shipmanagement and Marlow Navigation have confirmed that they are discussing a potential merger or collaboration to extend their cooperation in the maritime training sector.

After initial talks between the owners of both companies, Columbia and Marlow have confirmed that they are now "well into investigations" into a future equal partnership of the two parties.

The companies recently established a joint venture aimed at developing enhanced IT solutions for digitalised ship management and crew training at Marlow's training centre in the Philippines.

Columbia Shipmanagement is part of the Schoeller Holdings group, along with multipurpose vessel operator AAL Shipping.
