Pan Ocean back in black

March 25 - South Korean shipping line Pan Ocean has posted a profit of USD748.5 million for the 12 month trading period culminating December 2014.

Pan Ocean has recovered from the huge loss of USD1.76 billion it posted during 2013, despite revenue falling by 36 percent year-on-year during 2014 to USD1.56 billion.
The line's equity was also up by 466.9 percent from USD228.3 million in 2013 to USD1.294 billion in 2014.
HLPFI reported during December 2014 that Singapore headquartered chicken processor, Harim Group, is heading up a consortium of organisations to buy Pan Ocean in a deal worth in the region of USD968 million.
